Newton Township power outages:

FirstEnergy has notified the Township that as of Sunday, March 26, 5:30 PM, there were 749 customers in the Township without power and 103 outage orders. It was noted that current outages could last more than 24 hrs. No additional details were provided regarding service restoration times.

 

FirstEnergy "has called in external contractors to assist in repairs and restoration and will be working around the clock to restore power as quickly as safe work practices allow."
